28 Feb 2010 — Michael Heavey's recollections of Gammons Farm

Usually the buildings of an area are its the most enduring feature. Often, even if their usage changes, they remain.

This isn't the case for the buildings of Gammons Farm, and while they remain in the memory of many people who have lived in the area, they are no longer present. Over the years fire and the change of usage of the site has seen them disappear. We are particularly honoured to have the recollections of a former resident, who has been able to describe the layout and functions of these buildings in his article.
