By train to Watford Junction:

Watford Junction station is served by London Midland and Virgin trains on the West Coast mainline, from London Euston, the London Overground suburban service, and the Abbey Flyer branch line from St Albans Abbey station.

On leaving the station, turn right, towards the Flag public house, and cross the service road leading to the station car park. Turn right along this road, towards the car park. Before reaching the bridge, there is a ramp that leads up and to left, to a footpath that runs parallel to the rail lines. Follow this footpath to St Albans Road, using the subway to cross the road. When emerging from the subway by the steps, turn left and follow St Albans road bridge over the railway lines. Continue past Champions and Dunnings Bar (public houses) until you reach the junction with Leavesden Road. Follow Leavesden Road to the junction with Garfield Road.

By bus:

Route 10 calls at the bus stops on Leavesden Road near the church.

Other routes serve St Albans Road, and stop near the junction of Leavesden Road. It is a short walk from St Albans Road to Leavesden Road Baptist Church.

Organiser Allan

To coincide with the "North Watford schools through the years" display, at North Watford Library, North Watford History Group will be holding a Reminiscence Morning in the Lounge at Leavesden Road Baptist Church.

The morning will provide an opportunity for people with a connection to North Watford to share their memories and experiences with others. The focus for the morning will be the local schools, but we are interested in any social history, and all are welcome. Some volunteers from North Watford History Group will be there to provide tea and coffee.

After coming to the Reminiscence Morning, why not visit the North Watford schools through the years display at North Watford Library?
